My boyfriend and I found Dooley's Orchard ...except it wasn't exactly what we had expected.

We decided to go to an apple orchard in celebration of fall— Dooley’s Orchard to be exact and it felt like a long drive. We navigated the route using the GPS on his Blackberry and after a half hour of driving, we found it!

Not an apple orchard...
….clearly not an apple orchard. Sigh.

We found it alright. Dooley's Orchard Apartments and Townhouses! Woo hoo! ...NOT!

Yet, since we were already out in the middle of who the heck knows, we decided to at least get lunch. We had a fine dinning experience at a local Wendy’s... At least that wasn’t disappointing!

Our adventure didn’t end there! Thanks to some app on his phone, we found another so called orchard. Unfortunately we ended up somewhere random that apparently was far away from a cell tower and the GPS went out…

But lucky me! My boyfriend has great navigating skills ( I will probably regret praising him for this). We got there and it was magical.

A pile of gourds !

Just a few of the many festive decorations :)

We had apples and caramel, bought a peach pie, frolicked in the hay bails, bought cider, and some tea. And looming behind a pile of gourds was his law school professor. It’s just as weird in college and grad school to randomly see a teacher out with his family. It’s like running into your fourth grade teacher at the grocery store…you just feel weird and are amazed to see that they are allowed to leave the school.

It ended up being a fun day anyways! Just don’t go to Dooley’s…

This just makes me happy to look at! I love all things fall.

Happy Apple- Picking! (I suggest google mapping your destination first...and maybe some research)
