This month I’m giving my advice to the newest members of the Buckeye family
I’m in the mood
To help you dude,
You ain’t never had a friend like me!

About a year ago, I had a million questions about OSU. Through the magic of facebook I was able to find answers for the important questions. But there were still little things here and there that I was curious about. Well, if you’re about to start your four(ish)-year odyssey at Ohio State, this month’s blogs are for you!
I may be only a second-year student, but I like to think I’ve learned a great deal about OSU. Additionally, as an Honors Ambassador and an Engineering Ambassador (two separate roles, each dedicated to helping potential students learn more about OSU) AND a Buckeyes Blogger, I feel it’s my duty to help get information out there whenever I can. Also- and this is something you'll understand very soon - as a member of the Buckeye family, I think it's important to make the newest members feel welcome. To be a Buckeye is to be part of one of the biggest, most dynamic, and exciting communities in the world!
Here are some of the topics I’ll try to cover this month:
- Waiting for September 20 – How to deal with waiting for a Quarter school to start
- Food! – Where do you want to eat? Where should you avoid?
- Student Involvement – 904 student organizations… How do I find the one(s) for me?!
- Packing List – Beyond that silly list provided at housing.osu.edu
- Welcome Week – How to get the most fun out of this legendary week of awesome
- College Classes – Profs? Instructors? TAs? Textbooks? AHHHHHHHHhhh!
- Study Breaks – Where/how/why do I study on campus?
I’ll include an anecdote or two for each along with the helpful advice. They should be relatively fun to read. And hey, you might just learn a thing or two about what to expect from THE Ohio State University!
As always, if you have any questions about anything OSU, definitely leave me a comment and I’ll reply ASAP (also in the comments)!
Take care (and get excited for Fall 2009),
Rob
